Disneyland finally gets new Monorails

I think I heard them talking about this in the mi-90's but nothing happened. It now looks like Disneyland will get new monorails. From the concept drawings they look pretty cool. They are going to put them on the tracks in late November but probably will not be available for use by visitors until maybe a few weeks later since they have to test them and train the operators. Here are the pictures of first the current Monorail and concept art of the new one.

New bobsleds for Matterhorn at Disneyland.

It seems that an old ride at Disneyland is getting an update. Instead of the old seating arrangement that had two seat backs for two people per seat backs (the person in the front between the legs of the person up against the seat) rumor has it that there will now be three seat backs per car. It would seem that would not allow as many people to ride at one time making the wait in line longer but Disney found that most people were just sitting by themselves anyways making it 2 people per car (4 per sled). This way people will feel more comfortable sitting in their own area and so there would be 3 people per car making it 6 people per sled every time. I am amazed by my math skills! Therefore, the lines would go faster. I feel like I just wrote a Mathematical proof or something. but I think you get the idea. To celebrate this announcement here is a video of the full ride of the Matterhorn from the left side of the mountain (Remember, the ride is different if you get in line on the left or right side of the mountain so it is better to go on it twice to get the full experience).

Semi-truck takes man and wheelchair for a ride down Red Arrow Highway

Tribune Staff Report

PAW PAW, Mich. -- A 21-year-old man was taken on a wild ride Wednesday afternoon when the wheelchair he was in became attached to the grille of a semi-truck and was taken four miles down a highway at about 50 mph.

The man, whose name police did not release, was not injured. The driver was unaware he was pushing the man, according to a news release from the Michigan State Police.

Authorities began receiving calls about 4 p.m. that the semi was traveling westbound on Red Arrow Highway, just outside of Paw Paw, with the wheelchair.

"You are not going to believe this, (but) there is a semi pushing a guy in a wheelchair on Red Arrow Highway," an unknown caller told the Michigan State Police.

Police at first believed the calls were pranks. But when troopers responded to the Ralph Moyle Trucking Co. at 39269 Red Arrow Highway where the semi had come to a stop, they noticed the wheelchair with the man sitting in it, still attached."It was quite a ride," the man reportedly told police.

"The man spilled his soda pop, but he wasn't upset," Sgt. Kathy Morton of the Michigan State Police said.

Police said the man was unharmed and unfazed by the incident.

The driver was in disbelief when he stepped out of the semi and saw what he had picked up along the way, police said.

"When he saw us, he was like, 'What's going on?'" Morton said.An investigation revealed the driver had pulled out of a local gas station when the man in the wheelchair pulled in front of the semi, according to police. His wheelchair somehow became lodged by its handles to the front grille.

"Thank God the semi didn't go on (Interstate) 94," Morton said.

Loch Ness Monster caught on Video

These are always fun. It gets the imagination going. It is exciting. No matter if it is real or not things like this are fun to think about. It appears that a scientist at the Loch Ness Lake has caught the monster on video. I don't know if I believe in the monster or bigfoot or things like that but since I have not experienced seeing OR not seeing them (through my own scientific study) how can I say they are not real. I am the type of person who must experience things before I believe them.
So here is an image of the video and a link to the news story and the video shot by the scientist.
Enjoy!

Boring No More!!

Okay, I'll admit that my last blog was boring. Therefore, I am starting anew. I hope to keep everyone updated with my life and interests and views on issues. So enjoy!
